Trappings: Albuquerque
June 13 – August 16, 2008
Two Girls Working was invited by 516 ARTS to develop a public art installation
on Central Avenue in downtown Albuquerque, a part of historic Route 66. For this
part of Trappings: Albuquerque, we explored issues of perception in
public spaces.
The banners include photographic portraits and short quotes from
participant interviews. They feature selected Trappings participants
whose response to the question: what do you wear that makes you feel powerful?
elicited comments about power and public perception.
