Trappings: Albuquerque

A print and audio installation on the D-Ride public bus system of Downtown Albuquerque.

The D-Ride is a free, public bus that loops around the center of downtown Albuquerque.  For this installation, we created a series of prints for the bus interiors in the frieze-like spaces above the seats.  Each of the three buses featured photographs and text about one woman whose Trappings interview presents a story about a metaphorical or physical journey connected to her source of power.

In addition to viewing the prints, riders could use their cellphones to dial an 800 number that played the woman’s story in her own voice.
